    Yes, it is possible now. OpenRailwayMap uses OSM data. TSRE uses OSM data too - all lines that are in ORM map, are in TSRE too.

      Goku,

      Is it possible to use the KMZ files from http://www.msrailroads.com/Google_earth.htm ?
      This has a pretty extensive list of rail lines.

        You need to convert them to KML or GPX. There is a lot of online sites that allow it.

            Wow, that looks a lot better than typical distant mountains!
            Is that and image from google earth or similar laid over the terrain? Got to try that out!

              New version (x64) http://koniec.org/tsre5/data/TSRE5_v0.6933.exe

              This exe will download new app_data version.

              0.6933

              1. bug fix when TSRE crashed while loading activity files
              2. some UI improvements

              3. new QuadTree Terrain renderer and support for distant mountains.

              - creating new DM is not available yet.
              - it is possible to use old terrain renderer, disable new renderer in settings.txt:
              useQuadTree = false

              4. New settings.txt options. Useful for routes with DM - find the values you like:

              Default look:

              When values used:

              fogColor = #80C0FF
              fogDensity = 0.55

              --
              Now all kind of routes are supported in TSRE. Older versions have some issues with custom tile size:

              The same route in new TSRE version:

                Bug found: there is lag during object selection, when new terrain renderer is enabled.
                If it's annoying you can disable new terrain renderer in settings.txt

                useQuadTree = false

                        Hello Goku,
                        you ask in ElvasTower
                        Can anyone check other routes if there is another example of this behaviour? :
                        I have checkt all my Routes and their is a problem with one. The Route was Build with different quattree. The terrain in MSTS was o.k. but in Openrails the terrain where on same tiles down. The route is avible here: http://www.thetrain.de/de/downloadarea/neubrandenburg-version-2-0

                        This Route i build new. I chanched the Quadtree to maximum an rebuild the terrain with the MSTS Editor, and follow happens.

                        QuadTree

                        In MSTS Editor

                        In OpenRails

                        In TSRE5_v0.6932

                        In TSRE5_v0.6934. The Terrain is down.

                        If you need the Route, i can give you a Link.

                        Greetings Jan

                          Hi Goku,

                          the activity editing looks great.

                          I have three small ideas:

                          - when only activity related files are saved, not needed to save TDBs again (I know about the setting in the settings.txt file, but I think that this function could be authomatic - not changing .w or maybe .t and other tdb related files - do not save TDBs)... when switching between activity and building, changing the settings.txt every that time is not comfortable

                          - add a settings.txt switch for "stick camera to terrain" to allow set it always on by default

                          - add a settings.txt switch for locking track/road/tdb/rdb objects to avoid accinedtaly editing (move, rotate, delete, add) them, useful for activity editing and static-only editing.

                          and one bug report (maybe solved, dont know)

                          - when saving an activity, sometimes the .act file is not changed (and saved) when adding loose consist for example. First save seems to be succesful, other saves within the same session do not save the changes.

                          Thanks, Radek

                            - small/incomplete weather transitions for activity event are properly loaded and saved
                            - TSRE will not crash if NaN values are in TDB
                            - fix for geo terrain data loading for south

                              There is a Mistake in the DistantMountainsView.

                              The textures where built with Solution for Real Terrain. There are 4 Textures for 1 Tile. In TSRE5 only two are shown double.

                                Yes, I know. Distant terrain materials (shaders) are not compatible with TSRE. Maybe it will be fixed read-only.
