    Trying out the new Route Editor.
    I have placed a siding successfully,
    Next step, How do I input the siding name so it appears in the Sim ?

            Hello

            Is the import map from google satellite imagery still working?

            I manage to get satelite imagery in with the default static maps settings. However when i try to modify the "zoom" & "resolution" parameters the output is a garbled mess

            Any advice?

              You can't modify or put specific values in the settings.txt string. It is done by TSRE.

                On the subject of this Editor, I see it seems to be just the thing for Route Building. I need to modify some existing Route Parameters, such as Speed limits and Car Spawners.

                Is it possible to see and modify the necessary Triangles/Quadrangles etc.? Does a window similar to the MSTS RE Display come up to change the values?

                  I dont have the entry "useQuadTree" in my setting.txt file, i will add it with true.

                  as for the markers, is it possible to have a higher number?

                    Don,

                    A menu will come up on the left side of the screen with properties of whatever is selected at that time.

                    If I may make a request to Goku - could level crossing shapes have the same transform options as static objects, instead of having to 'eyeball' it? This would help in proper placement of a crossing signal

                      Ok, but the default settings result in rather poor resolution map layer, is there any way to increase it from within TSRE then?

                        You can't. Use "Z18" option for better image quality.

                          I am not quite sure if i have correctly installed TSRE5. I first followed the link to your homepage where the download link is and the guide to install and use TSRE5. It is said to download a .zip file but i saw none so i only choose the latest .exe at the time version .6948 dated dec 8th. The path to MSTS is C:\MSTS so i created a folder C:\TSRE and placed the exe file there. I executed it from there. I edited the setting.txt file to change the game root, and place a shortcut on my desktop.

                          After your reply, i edited settings to add the line "useQuadTree = true", but no changes. What is the difference between white terrain and no terrain?

                          From what i see in TSRE, i think it is a great route editor and i now, even with those problems with my route, i want to switch to it.

                            White terrain is terrain with white colour, no terrain is no terrain at all. If you can go with the camera under the "white terrain" then there is no terrain. Also, you can show some pics.

                            useQuadTree = true is set by default. You should try useQuadTree = false

                                Any idea why it looks like this?
                                This has been an issue for me since release 0.6937 when trying to edit any route.
                                0.6936 has no issues and works perfectly fine.
