    MyCommerce (Digital River) Troubles impacting TrainSimulations.net

    Digital River runs dry, hasn't paid developers for sales since July



    This worries me ,both for the vendor and the buyer. I checked today and www.trainsimulations.net is still using the MyCommerce platform for customer purchases. I am getting "cold feet" over this trouble. When will purchases fail to be completed, or worse, post purchase service issues fail to deliver? From the article it seems like the new owner of Digital River et all has changed the agreements single handed, against the merchants interest, and possibly OUR interest as well. Will prices increase because of this?

    Somebody from www.trainsimulations.net will have to address these concerns, given Black Friday coming in about 6 weeks or so. Not to mention the election in November.

    Thanks for posting this thread. We are included in the list of vendors who haven't been paid since July. We thought maybe it was just an administrative issue, but clearly it's more serious than that. Our team will meet to discuss next steps and go from there.

    In the meantime, if you have been wanting to buy something from our site, maybe just hold off a bit until we get things sorted.

        To be fair, TrainSimulations.net has always provided excellent customer support, so there should be no concern on that angle.

        But it is a bit concerning if they're getting stiffed by the folks they trusted to process payments and order fulfillment.

        If there's even a whiff of truth to this, I'd completely understand if TrainSimulations were protecting their wallets by closing off new sales until this gets worked out, or they can switch over to a new payment/fulfillment provider.

        If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

              Thanks for the heads up. I was meaning to buy a few more things, lots of items I need to catch up with. The SD45s are one of those items.

                  Is there an update from TS? It's been 4 weeks since the OP alerted potential buyers. Should people still hold off on purchases?

                    I'm sure there's plenty of us in that same boat too wondering the same thing, especially with Black Friday and the holidays coming up.

                      Yeah... I was thinking about getting some from stuff from them but not right now currently, hopefully things will be sorted out on their end.

                        The news is that there is no news. There does seem to be some progress towards resolution, so I think it is safe for you to make purchases when you see fit.
