TrainSimulations Online Store Update

Hi All,

As many of you know, we were impacted by the Digital River non-payment of vendors which began mid-summer. It looked like it was heading towards a resolution, but at this stage we are not so sure if it will be resolved. As of today, we have received no revenue from Digital River for any sales from July 1st onward. Unfortunately, these are the risks of doing business. Many of their vendors have changed to a new merchant of record and/or reseller, so today we have done the same. We have partnered with BMT Micro to handle all our online store sales and fulfillment going forward. They are aware of the situation, and have informed us that many former DR vendors came to them as well.

We are pleased to announce that the new online shopping cart is ready for use, and our yearly Black Friday sale will happen on schedule. We will post a notice on our website and send out an email to our mailing list once the sale begins. Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support over the years!

I am the one who discovered this online in one of the many deeper venues that I frequent regarding online business practices. It is too bad that your company has been subject to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enshittification after so many years. If my records are correct, you had been using this payment company for over a decade now, if not longer.

Bringing the payment problem with Digital River to this forum was made in both the interest of your customers and your interests as well. Let us all hope that destructive business models lead to the downfall of only those who insist on blindly inflicting these misguided paths in the name of value for shareholders.

I hate unfair business practices especially when it comes to the finances. Hopefully, you guys at TrainSimulations will somehow recoup from Digital River. I had been wanting to purchase the Shasta Route and a few other products from you guys a while back, but something kept telling me to hold off. I'm glad I did. Time to open the wallet, and support the great work over there.
