Marias Pass would also be good particularly if later it fed into the Sandpoint to Spokane “Funnel” represented as it was in the early 90’s before double tracking and realignments.

Not a route, but having thrown down the challenge with the Metrolink F125 and Baby Bullet, TSW just got a F59PH for the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino routes. Not tried it yet (had to reinstall the two routes), but by all accounts it is very good. So time for R8 to step up to the plate and do a Metrolink loco and car pack, maybe more than one loco in time. Combine that with adding the AVL and some changes to support timetabled passenger operations and breath some fresh air into SoCal.Leave a comment:

Kansas City or St. Louis could make for an interesting region. So could Minneapolis. Lots of radials converging in all three.👍 1Leave a comment:

An area that has always fascinated me is the old Missouri Pacific, from Kansas City across to St Louis. Choice of two routes from Jefferson City, either via the River Sub or Sedalia. I played this route in the old SIAM despatching game and it always seemed very busy. Probably too long to tackle in one hit, but maybe three or four stages and we would have a nice network similar to SoCal.👍 1Leave a comment:

I'd love to see some Midwestern. I'm quite biased (St. Louisan), but I feel like it's under-represented across the board. There's only two TSC routes I can think of (Chicago-Aurora and KC-Topeka) that showcase the Midwest. While Chicago would be an amazing central hub for a Run8 region, I fully understand how hard it would be to implement and model. Perhaps a smaller locale, like Peoria or Galesburg?Leave a comment:

Seligman would have made sense when it was a division point and crew change but now Winslow would be more logical. It would add a couple more Amtrak stops and then the Grand Cnyon Ralway would be begging to be included.Leave a comment:

Winslow to Seligman, no idea what it is called.
No point starting the network from Seligman, if it is not going to be added to.Leave a comment:

For something completely different, why not have a go at the old Milwaukee Road, maybe Pipestone Pass as recently released for TSC or Avery to Drexel seen many years ago in Trainz. Imagine running Little Joes and the other boxy electrics with the freedom of Run 8!
Come on Brad, come on John and Nigel. How about it?Leave a comment:

the BNSF Hi-Line Subdivision (Havre to Whitefish) (it's been made in MSTS/ORTS, Trainz, Railworks, and now it's Run 8's turn)
BNSF Kootenai River Subdivision (Whitefish to Spokane) (maybe merged with the above too)
BNSF Scenic Subdivision (Seattle to Wentachee)
BNSF Columbia River Subdivision (Wentachee to Spokane)
UP Green River Subdivision
BNSF KO Subdivision
BNSF Raton and Glorietta Subdivsions
CSXT Keystone Subdivision (maybe including the WM mainline that was abandoned in 1975, thus dating it to the late 1960's-early 1970's)
the ex. EL mainline in upstate New York, including Starucca
CPKC Taber Subdivision (including the Sweetgrass Subdivision and the massive Lethbridge Viaduct
the ex. BCOL mainline (now owned by the CN)
Pittsburgh Sub in the 1950's-1970's with a 4 track mainline

Think of each route as part of a larger puzzle, like connect the dotsLeave a comment:
