    Sunset at Monolith, elapse time

It's endless what Run8 can give us... The moonlight effect if far better in-game, of course.

The original video was replaced by this new one (much better resolution):

Run 8 Train Simulator: Monolith Sunset elapse time 150x

    Enjoy! 8-)

I agree Doc, Run8 gets better and better.

The sun light on the mountains, sky color and developing darkness in the valley is very realistic.
I love the way the lights on the super structure come on in groups. Just the way it happens at a local plant where I live.
The street light then shows up illuminating the switch. A very important safety feature for my avatar if I have to throw the switch in the dark. Sure don't the avatar to slip and fall and the resulting expensive law suit and union work stoppage.
The moon rise and star motion is great.
    A very nice scene.

      BUMP!

      Thank you, my Friend Jim.

I've replaced the original vídeo by another (much better resolution), and also added a new sample (check the first post above).

Than you Shaun (nolotran) for the tip about the PhotoLapse tool, it's indeed much easier and faster to use, and also provides a final higher quality resolution movie.

      Cheers,
      Doc.

From the very first time I used R8 I was impressed by the lighting effects, man-made and natural.
They are the best of any railroad sim, bar none.
