Run8 on the new Rig
Running Run8 in 4K. More pics to come. The pics do not do justice to what I see on the 4K monitor. Run8 is stunning in 4K if one has the hardware to run it this way. It makes Run8 look like a new sim.
As some may know I built a new rig with 8700K, GTX1080ti, 32MB Ram, SSD and the FPS and smoothness at full settings is remarkable. I wish I could upload the originals so everyone can see how good it looks. The distance with haze etc. is very impressive. At 4K there is no need for anti-aliasing and the shimmering is virtually non-existent.
Cheers

A Christmas Gift From Run8
Thank You Run8 for the two free re-paints and configs of the SD70!
The two free locomotives are on the right. Check the front page of their website. It is nice to have two UP SD70`s now. And of course the NS is nice as well.
Note: Now if Run8 would be so kind as to release the CN SD70 on boxing day as well---please, please, wink, wink. ;-)

Back From Hiatus
Took some time away from Run8. She still lives on the HD. She looks better as well on my new 4K monitor.

Back to Barstow
I decided to head back to Barstow and take a new approach to the ongoing learning curve. It`s just one of those things that takes time. . . at your leisure.
Note: In my opinion, Barstow flows the best of all the rail hub yards in Run8. Especially the hump and classification yards.Last edited by Ezra; 04-06-2017, 11:05.

A-Line
The A-Line (Run8) Web page has a completely new design. The Tutorials on "how to read signals" are excellent under the Support-Tutorials section.
Note: There is a free download (hyrailsimulations) train-set for Run8 in the "updates and extras" section. The free download will also work for the other V2 routes as well. They are under the update section called Amtrak Autoracks.
Hyrail Simulations provides quality add on content for Run8 Train Simulator, home of the CSX A Line and Waycross RoutesAttached FilesLast edited by Ezra; 03-20-2017, 19:46.

Uh, Ezra, if there's any rotation to that wall cloud to the south there, you better take cover! LOL

. . . The Selkirk Yard. . .
. . . is gorgeous at night however. Late afternoon is not so bad either.
Note: I should indicate the pics I am posting are a mix of High and Low res. Not everyone has the hardware needed to push the envelope.Last edited by Ezra; 03-18-2017, 15:42.

Dispatching. . .
. . . in the fading light.
This is Selkirk. I can`t seem to stay away from Selkirk. It has to be the most beautiful of all the routes even though I do love Barstow. Having said this, Barstow yard does flow better than Selkirk in terms of operations. Meaning: Less moves to get the job done. In my opinion Barstow Yard is a better design. Selkirk is a little more complicated. . .Last edited by Ezra; 03-18-2017, 15:46.
