Trees on the hill, flickering, shimmering, what ever you may describe it as.

I tried pulling up the video, but it says it's unavailable.

It has come to that, is it Vern 🀣🀣. Mind buddy it sounds like a very efficient way of choosing, very innovative of you πŸ‘.

    R8 has gone here Leaf85.

Each card has two routes named against it (still left some over) so deal the first card to select the pair then a second card the colour determines whether you play the first or second named. Works quite well, put a post about it in the DTG TSC Off Topic section. (Will leave it there as I don’t want to get flayed by the mods for thread drift).

I'm going to have to upgrade methinks, that's great you aren't getting the track moir! I'll have to check next time I'm passing the farms along Mojave. as I'm sure you're right about the shimmering and the density of the foliage. Might be the shadow settings?

Nice one Vern although a Cross of St George would be more appropriate. Have you ever worn a knotted hanky on your head buddy, i have honest truth πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I watched a video on SmartTube the other week, apparently Swindon is one of the worse places to live in England.

Hahahahahaha, so what decides which route to play, with the cards ?

I cannot be dealing with that shimmering, so R8 might be very short lived here.

Don't listen to me about Win11 Vern. Best to watch some YT reviews or even online written reviews.

Leaf85 I don't get the track moire now with my new system, i used to though. I have a GTX 4070 now, i couldn't afford to go any higher, with having to buy a new CPU, Mobo, liquid cooling system, DDR5 memory, new case and a new 850W PSU.

Not so many trees in much of the western routes, so less noticeable buddy i think.

    Mike.

Now now buddy, graphics are not the b-all and end-all of a game 😁😁

I will try and find the gamebar, really don't like this Win11. I was on the point of formatting this morning and re-installing Win10.

Couldn’t find my Union Jack tee shirt and knotted hanky to go on my head…
Anyhow If anyone rioted in Swindon, could only improve the look of the rancid hole. Most of the (former) shops already boarded up.

Been busy in TSC, devised a randomiser system with a pack of playing cards as with over 100 routes got bewildering what to pick and run.

Really do need to get back into Run 8 at some point.

Shame about Win 11, will probably hold off doing anything for a while even if I update the hardware. Sounds ,ike it could be Vista all over again.

I get the shimmering mainly along the eastern routes, little in California, a touch in Roseville. I had been thinking it was my gfx card (3070) as I also get a ton of...?moir? along the tracks- in Run 8 and TSC/W (the suddenly more expensive sim...).

Crazy thing is, I was just over on the tree simulator forums this morning and they were complaining about how bad the trains looked in their tree simulator.

Jack i haven't anything to record with sorry buddy. It's not physical movement, maybe sparkling could be a better description.

Plus it is not the trees right next to the consist, it is more the ones in the medium and far distance.

Mike, when you say "Shimmering" I wonder if I'm thinking of the same thing? To me, shimmering would be some kind of movement/stuttering, which is not something I've ever noticed with the tree's before.

Can you record a video of the shimmering? You've got me curious now. It's not as if Run8 tree's sway or anything so there shouldn't be any movement at all with them.
