    A Computer Quirk Sort Of??

Around a week ago stupid Micrsoft forced a update down my throat. I don't like those updates for a number of reasons and got an app several years ago to stop Microsoft dead in their tracks from doing any kind of update without me reviewing it first and refusing if I wasn't interested. So how this happened I have no idea..... I have Windows 10. The update said it upgraded to Windows 11. I read how how to revert back, but couldn't. The option to do that was ghosted out. Now, here's were gets weird...... According to my current system info, I still have Windows 10 and logs say there was no update. Yet my computer spent close to 10 minutes doing this update... Is it possiple I do indeed have Windows 11? Nothing weird going on after this so called update. Everything works as it should. Thanks

Under start>system>windows update >update history will be a complete listing of all the Microsoft updates. You can read about each update. You can do deeper research using the "KB" number.

Additionally if your computer is capable of using Windows 11, (at least on my three pc's) is a clickable window that say 'your pc is eligible for Windows 11' or something along those lines. Only by clicking on it will Windows 11 install itself.

Just did a quick check on my system, ( Windows 11 ), but believe the same should be on Windows 10.
Go into SETTINGS > SYSTEM > ABOUT ( last item on list on mine ). That will tell you your Device info and what Windows version you are running.

If you're running the Pro version of Windows you can use Group Policy to forestall updates.
If not, you're stuck with what Microsoft has in mind.

When they claimed I was getting the usual Sunday end of the month update for Windows 10 they spent 7 1/2 hours installing Windows 11 without my permission. They sure didn't install 11 in 10 minutes for you.
