...well, not really, in this case, it was a Church in Colorado Springs, CO. But they had armed security, and the outcome was much different, but still tragic...
Anyone brain damaged enough to commit such an act surely falls on the far left of this scale. However, the tinhats analyzing the background of this moron will soon place him to the far right and make up all kinds of excuses for his behavior.
Thankfully, someone was allowed to carry a firearm and thus put an instant end to this deadly behavior.
SRV Ron
BTY, not all security guards are allowed to carry a weapon. This was very unusual that one was present at a church let alone armed.
Also, the author of the scale, who ran a right wing website, was found dead in his apartment a few weeks later. No official cause of his death was ever announced even though he was recovering from serious surgery and on some heavy pain medications at the time.
Actually, in Colorado, armed security is quite common. Plus all off-duty police officers and most retired ones carry weapons as a matter of policy. I worked as an armed security officer for a company that provides security for hospitals here in Colorado back in the 80's, and we had very good working relationships with the local police. Even arrested a guy wanted for a double murder in California once...
The New Life Church was in one scene, not "featured" in the film as you clearly stated. The movie is nothing more than anti-Christian propoganda and quite clearly, New Life Church is not pentacostal as the "Jesus Camp" was. Since you don't know the difference, and the movie doesn't differentiate, it was clearly - garbage.
As far as Wikipedia, it describes the film, and the fact that New Life was in one scene, and we're not exactly describing rocket science here, what we're discussing is anti-religious bigotry, which is no less ignorant than racism or sexism, and just as reprehensible.
LOL, well, its good someone finds something reprehensible.
So by the logic contrived in your head, simply because a movie documents both pentacostal and non-pentacostal, then it is garbage filled with anti-christian bigotry?
You may deem such anti-christian, but that is simply your opinion. And that where it ends.
Kevin you probably want to go easy on the anti-christian provocation here or we'll import a couple of fire and brimstone evangelists to work on you! Equal time you know.
:-)
After all we haven't tried to convert you, yet!
Myself I figure I have enough to answer for personally without worrying about others.
I think the big guy said something about worrying about the beam in my own eye before I sweat the mote in yours....
However I find the anti-religious rhetoric of some folks on here getting to be offensive....
