You are so adorable, Chuck. You keep drawing that line in the kiddie sandbox and it keeps getting erased, much to your frustration. Its precious to watch.

Did You See That Taurus Go???
Remind me never to get into a political discussion with this bunch. vicious.
This much being said, has anyone heard about the good things automakers are doing to boost economy? How about Ford's EcoBoost?
Ford Motor Company is introducing a new technology called EcoBoost that will deliver up to 20 percent better fuel economy on half a million Ford, Lincoln and...
Fast forward to about 6:50, if you want to see the benefit OTHER than Fuel economy...The Jeremy Clarkson of MSTS...sort of.

BTW, Paul, I think the "tinfoil" hat reference was for Kenny, not you. Which confuses me, because he's the Commie, you're the troofer.

Thankfully.. I live in a small town, and I skateboard from place to place.
I have no idea what the gas price is here.. because I really would hate to look and see it, and be in awe from it.
and whats crazy.. I have seen more poser rednecks in this town, with bigger pick up trucks, some with diesel, then they turn and crab about the damn gas price.
It's like, why'd you go from a 14 mile to the gallon machine to one that has 6 miles to the gallon. makes no sense.

Sadly gas is 3.69 here... I've had to pull out some tricks, i put a K&N cold air intake and running Royal Purple High Performance oil on my chevy, it really helps at the pump but considering i still get 20, 21 mpg is still bad that is going to get $4+ during the middle of the summer. Bush says me need alternative fuel sources so how he does that is by making us pay our asses in diesel and basic 87 octane..
"Fuel" for thought... :P

I remember when diesel was about the same price as regular, now it's well over 4 bucks a gallon. What's Royal Purple cost per quart?Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.- Winston Churchill

I'd consider most full-synthetics similar. They will help your mileage some, but buyer beware: they can cause havoc on the seals of older cars. you may want to start with a semi-synthetic, a high-mileage blend, before going full-synth.
I use Quaker State high-mileage in my car...might go with Q full-synth on my next change, Just to see what happens.
I'll bet, too, that I could gain a little mileage with a pair of Webers or Solexes, too...My car being a late '80s carb'd car, it'd benefit from freer breathing and fewer vacuum hoses...Last edited by Jim Prower; 05-09-2008, 11:28.The Jeremy Clarkson of MSTS...sort of.

Royal Purple is about $7-8 a quart and last 10,000 miles like any other full synthetic, and its really good on the cylinder walls by coating them to protect from startches, etc.. (via Performance Oil)
Its really a great purty purple oil, you can also get Tranny Fluid that helps your gears the same exact way, maybe a little higher than your average fluid but will GUARANTEE you better gas mileage with both. Also gettin E3 plugs (about 5 a plug) helps u get better combustion by sparking all the gas in the cylinder chambers. These are just some small things u can do to help with just a regular daily driver
Just more fuel for thought....
