The decision is expected to come out at 10AM Eastern time today:

Devoted to covering the US Supreme Court comprehensively, without bias according to the highest journalistic standards as a public service

I have to go to bed, since I work nights, I wonder if I'll go to sleep a freeman and wake up a subject...

Or, more likely, they'll come up with some convoluted garbage that says it's an individual right but taking away your gun doesn't infringe on it...

And explain it with a straight face!

If you really want to get a laugh and see how someone can work backward from a conclusion with leaps of logic the size of the Grand Canyon, take the time to read Roe v. Wade sometime... There's parts in there that will make you laugh out loud, seriously... It's probably a worse decision than Dred Scott...

Given the activity of the Supreme Court the past few days, with 5 to 4 rulings that give rights to Terrorist and calls the death penalty for raping a young children cruel and unusual punishment, we may find that "Right of the People" to be defined as the right of the Government.

We should know the fate of this country in the next few hours. Will they uphold the Constitution, or legislate from the bench?

    Do you get out much?

On further thought, never mind, it was just a rhetorical question...

"maybe you could tell us where the memorial to fallen members of the Canadian Military in Viet Nam is located?"

Ever heard of the North Wall?

Ranting on a website is not "defending" anyone's rights. That's just silly. And since you obviously don't understand those rights, and seem to think they mean whatever you think they mean, and have no ability to reason, listen to others, research or otherwise understand them, do us all a favor, and just stop. You're not helping anyone.

    Have a nice day!

Really? Just how Vince. How are you gonna do that? Gonna grab a big ole gun and shoot somebody Vince? Or do you just say stuff like that to make yourself feel like you are somebody, oh just so important!!

I'll tell ya what Vince. I did that already for you. Though I didn't have you in mind. I did my time in service.

Lookie there! I never had to say, cause I already did it. I'm so special!

    Sheesh!

Okay, your turn! <--- have another one.
Incredibly, Garber here asks: >>>".....Gonna grab a big ole gun and shoot somebody Vince? ....."<<<

My God Garber, where are you coming from with that statement/question?
Uhh, no Richard. My guns are for BAD people that are bent on physical violence, for use ONLY if I feel in imminent danger of deadly force. That definitly does NOT cover the fine though somewhat misguided folks on this site.

My state allows open carry and yes, I do have a CCW permit and so does my wife. I believe in being legal.

Nope, my support of the Constitution IS defense of your rights. Try opening your eyes, maybe you'll see that.

Then rdamurphy (Robert the Rash) writes:
    >>".... do us all a favor, and just stop. You're not helping anyone."<<

As I said, inconvienient truths. So Mr 'neo-con-I-dont-care-about-oaths-I-took' would like to gag me.
No chance Robert. As I told you before, strict interpetation of the Constitution and thats all.

If you DONT agree with the Constitution and or DONT agree to Protect and Defend the Constitution, then you are by definition, a traitor to The United States of America.

Ted: You still haven't answered my question? Did you serve?

And maybe you could tell us where the memorial to fallen members of the Canadian Military in Viet Nam is located?

Perhaps you didn't know that 1/3 of combat deaths in World War 2 were National Guardsmen. Although the National Guard wasn't used extensively in Viet Nam, there have been extensive deployments of National Guard units in the War on Terror.

If someone enlists in peacetime, or enlists in war time but doesn't see combat, or joins the National Guard, their sacrifice and service to the United States is somehow subject to denegration by the likes of people that never served, and don't even live in the US?

And you got your little feelings hurt?

So, tell us about your military experience?

    Have a nice day.

"Oh? So warrantless wiretapping outside the jurisdiction of the FISA court is legal and constituional?"

Before making such "bold" statements (pun intended) you really should research the facts:

Also, all of the following Circuit Court cases support the President's use of warrantless wiretaps used to monitor FOREIGN communications.

    United States v. Clay, 430 F.2d 165, 171 (5th Cir.1970); United States v. Brown, 484 F.2d 418, 426 (5th Cir.1973); United States v. Butenko, 494 F.2d 593, 605 (3d Cir.1974); United States v. Buck, 548 F.2d 871, 875 (9th Cir.1977); United States v. Truong Dinh Hung, 629 F.2d 908, 913 (4th Cir.1980).

There are also significant legal analysis that contest whether or not the FISA Court is Constitutional, since what the FISA Court actually does is allow - get this: Warrantless searches!

So, your "argument" is that the President can't order a warrantless search against a foreign individual, but a Court can??? Again, have you even read the Fourth Amendment?

And according to the LA Times, forcing the President to submit to a FISA Court violates the Constitution. Very good article on the subject here:

Forcing the president to obtain a court order to tap communications between foreigners may violate the Constitution.

    Have a nice day!

    Sigh…
Next time I will explain my ‘sound bites’ when I find faulty logic here.
But seriously, if someone wants to shoot down Kerry’s military record, don’t use GW as the example.
Also, my taking the supposed ‘holier than thou’ road is a lesser swipe than what I received.
Gees I was waiting to see if I was actually going to be labelled a commie for insulting Bush Jr.

…and calling the mods on this as you, Vince & Robert are almost at blows?
I had no idea a Supreme Court ruling could elicit such reactions.
Heck, I’m waiting to see if someone will burst a blood vessel.

"Oh, and an appeal to the Mods too.
You're pathetic, but I will defend your right to BE pathetic! . . . Or anything else you want. Just stay away from the Constitution huh."

*sigh* That was a joke Postal Vince.

When we want the mods to be alerted, we press the Alert link. We don't cry out at the end of a post.

Wait a second Vince, I got something here for you.

Does that make ya feel just a little better now?
