Amazing how some people still believe in the 21st century that legislation is the solution to all our problems.

No, sorry, but you guys, Ron, Bob and all, are well, to me you've been off-track for some time. It's not the end-game, a political result the Liberal is after. This is where I part with you guys completely. Read your Bible. It is a spiritual problem I laid out two of mine posts ago; a continued discontentment with life that the Liberal rebels against all things because what he is missing, the Liberal can't find. It's rooted in discontent and I would further continue to say an unconscious rebellion against God. Even if a Liberal could have all the things he asked for, he'd continue with being discontent so that he either destroy all human life or he'd reverse course and seek the pleasures of this world the Liberal denies others. It is a political manifestation brought on by a spiritual problem and not the other way around. You think the Liberal is after socialism. A form of socialism. Yes the facts bear that out, but only until the Liberal gets socialism and finds the emptiness of it still prevails, the Liberal will turn on it as well.

Ultimately I believe the Liberal is concerned of one thing and again it's an unconscious thing. He's downright fearful of Judgement. On Judgement Day the Liberal wants us all 'equal' in the sight of Liberals, not God, so God will not have an ability make a separatation between the righteous and unrighteous. Is it not coincidental we know the Liberal to be excelling at legal manipulations via the courts?

Unfortunately for the Liberal God isn't using that kind of judgement. He, as in God, wants the sin debt to be paid and it can't be done by works. Ultimately in life you have but one important decision to make. Did Jesus rise from the grave and take His place amongst the Father and did you acknowledge that to serve Him? (rhetorical question) It is through faith in Jesus you pass the Judgement verdict and not through works of any kind. And this applies to all peoples, not just Liberals.

Paul W is more right about this stuff than you guys in one area. There is a conspiracy. The Bible spells out the biggest conspiracy theory of them all, that there is a unseen spiritual war going on with all kinds of backroom dealings, deceptions, manipulations brought on by unseen forces to wreck God's creation. Unseen indeed. And it makes sense. Because there is he who is trying to avoid Judgement as well. But there will be a conclusion to this war. I believe we are in the last days of this war based on the political climate, the unnatural weather patterns and state of morality as well as developing conditions in the middle east. Forget your causes gents. The 2nd amendment victory is nothing but a bump to fool you into thinking there is a hope that things will turn out alright afterall. That is not said in the Bible. The answers, end-game to this and others, are all in Bible. There's your hope. There's your end-game. For everybody.

And I say this, do not be fooled that you as a conservative is any less favored over the left leaning in God's plan. We all fear Judgement. There is none righteous amongst any one of us that can pass the Judgement verdict without Jesus' intervention on the cross.

True, for a definition of modern Americal liberalism, or should I say libertinism, just read through Romans Chapter 1. Amazing how history repeats itself...

          The actual decision

I've been reading through the actual decision and this paragraph seems to capture the essence of the thought process very well:

We reach the question, then: Does the preface fit with
an operative clause that creates an individual right to
keep and bear arms? It fits perfectly, once one knows the
history that the founding generation knew and that we
have described above. That history showed that the way
tyrants had eliminated a militia consisting of all the ablebodied
men was not by banning the militia but simply by
taking away the people’s arms, enabling a select militia or
standing army to suppress political opponents. This is
what had occurred in England that prompted codification
of the right to have arms in the English Bill of Rights.
The debate with respect to the right to keep and bear
arms, as with other guarantees in the Bill of Rights, was
not over whether it was desirable (all agreed that it was)
but over whether it needed to be codified in the Constitution.
During the 1788 ratification debates, the fear that
the federal government would disarm the people in order
to impose rule through a standing army or select militia
          was pervasive in Antifederalist rhetoric.

The discontent itself is rooted in the cynicism that came to the fore since WW1. Common truths about who and what we are, have been replaced by dogma, propaganda and ideologies.

While I cant be too sure that its "an unconscious rebellion", I do think that it may very well be an consequence of choice. How else to explain the untold thousands, possibly millions, who dabbled in the Black Arts. Most stay only for a short time, as it's a fad at best. Some remain, and good luck to them ( or should that be "Bad Luck" to them? ). They made a conscious choice, nonetheless. These days they're called Republicans, but I digress...

I have said in these precincts before that these are the last days of the Roman Empire. If ,indeed, these are the Last Days, and are recognised as such, why would anyone stand back and let it happen? Who benefits? Would not our efforts be best utilized in making the choices ,to not let it happen?

And what about all those folks who disagrees with, or doesn't know, the Bible sez the jig is up? How will that be explained?

I'm still looking for that J Edgar Hoover quote!

Actually. there's very few people that don't know about the Bible. Maybe a scattered tribe or two in South America.
As for those that know, but don't believe; well- that's their choice. The thing about the God I believe in is he gave everyone the freedom of choice. He doesn't demand you believe in him. It's only required if you want to live beyond this human shell we now abide in.

Those Without Swords Can Still Die Upon Them

Individual, private possession of firearms isn't the only thing that permits individual liberty, but it is one of the essential components in a society that intends to stay free. An armed, informed, reasoning people cannot be subjugated.

So what do you do if you want to fetter a free people?

                              1) Remove their ability to reason.

                              2) Constrain their ability to access and exchange information.

                              3) Relieve them of the means with which to defend themselves and their property.

Which of these seems easiest, and how would it be best accomplished? And best resisted?
