• Slow Downloads? Here's A Reason Why

    Learn More

People sometimes complain to us about slow download speeds from FlightSim.Com and we have to explain that it's not our fault, our servers are working correctly and other people are getting perfectly normal fast speeds.

It all depends on how the Internet works in its entirety, and the path between you and us which is different for everyone. One person can have things working just fine while another person taking a different path to reach us can have problems.

We just discovered this article that explains some recent problems, apparently due to Verizon intentionally slowing down access due to the large amount of bandwidth Netflix is using. The effect varies during the day and gets worse as the day goes on and more people are active.

    Read the complete article here.

If you're a Verizon customer and are seeing this slow down it might be a good time to call them up and complain.

Big routes like the Horseshoe Curve can take long, but I'm good in locomotives.

Wow!! I find this a bit funny because I have never had any problems coming online to TrainSim.com throughout the years I've been here

For moderm broadband and phone line (dialup) users need to discuss their issues with their phone company because that is where the problem is, not here at TrainSim.com or FlightSim.com

The problem will be caused by line noise, which will cause your internet disconnecting or slow downloading

I know this because I am a dialup user

yap, it's not TrainSim.com or FlightSim.com 's problem, it's ISP 's problem, I spoke with my service provider.

Please remember that Unlimited download speeds and threads are
available with our First Class Membership. It's only $30/year and
really helps support the site. All the servers and bandwidth cost a
considerable amount of money to run.

      Thank you for listening!
