    Open Rails 1.2

    Changes Brought In By Open Rails 1.3 (since 1.2)

    Selected new features and improvements are listed below, mostly to provide more realism.

    A lot of minor bugs (e.g. ???) have also been fixed but our code is reaching the point where these problems are seen only by a few users and not in our regular testing. We need you to report these events in the usual way as we never see them.

    New features in Open Rails 1.3

    • Stock crossing a switch or diamond will trigger a specific "switch"" sound if that type of track piece has been configured.
    • Turntables are now supplemented by transfer tables, see video.

    • AI passenger trains will open and close doors automatically in station platforms, see video.

      Hello there is one more issue regarding to open rails
      The issue with the terrain is that some sections in the route,the tiles are not 2 X 2,rather they are 4 X 4, 8 X 8. Hence when this route is played in OR,we can see white textured ground(un-textured). This works file in MSTS . I can understand this is not the standard or the correct method of populating toggled tiles in RGE,but the route is huge & I would loose all the terrain work done,if I were to re-populate this. Request the OR development/support team to support tiles which are GT than 2 X 2.

      Is there any solution for this if it can be updated

      I'd like to congratulate all people involved in creation of OR. It's much better than msts. Rarely crashes. Please tell me how to create activities in OR.

      You must create activities in MSTS as no-one has developed an Activity Editor for ORTS yet.

      One can use skyline computing's activity generator software to make switching oriented activities for US routes.

      Goku's TSRE has a rudimentary activity editor. The open rails track viewer can create paths.

      Post this query in ElvasTower, all the OpenRails developers are there which will solve your issues.
