Run8 V3 Update 7 is now available at the Run8 website

While driving earlier this week, I saw an approaching train on the tracks that parallel the road I was on. This is a pretty rare thing at 11:00 in the morning, and being the train nerd that I am, I slowed down to let it catch up.

Can you believe we've been here for 22 years? The announcement of Microsoft Train Simulator brought about the opening of this site back then, and here we still are with a variety of sims to choose from. Founder Nels Anderson takes a look back.

When I woke up to read the forums on January 16th, there was a discussion thread going on regarding UKTrainSim closing.

The two months that followed are something I never expected.

New for Run8 is is the CSX Fitzgerald Sub Route from HyRail Simulations. Located in central Georgia, the route is a vital southeastern US artery. The route features over 220 miles of mainline operations, three major yards, 49 industries and more.

Developer RSSLO announces the OBB 8633 Pack for Train simulator Classic. The pack includes the control car, wagos an OBB 1116 - CityJet.

Announcing the release of the new ANR DL Class Australian National Locomotives pack, now available for purchase. Built between 1988 and 1990, the DL class locomotives were designed for use on both passenger trains and freight trains.

Developer RSSLO announces that they are working on the OBB 8633 Dosto Pack, in the CityShuttle and CityJet livery, with the OBB 1116 for Train Simulator Classic.

Trainz Plus alpha testing is proceeding, with focus currently on HD terrain. Also being previewed in this announcement are ANR DL Class Australian National locomotives and release is announced of the new Indian Pacific train and Pro Train Brocken Railway route.
