Biography:

I grew up in George in the Cape Province. We lived close to the railway lines and saw the GMA and GEA class Beyer-Garratts steam locomotives on a regular basis running between Oudtshoorn and George. My father also worked at the George railway station goods dept.
Moved to Johannesburg where i started to work at the SA Posts & Telecommunications, transferred to Durban as a training officer and then to Pretoria where i retired.
