Looking very nice. But requirements specification are too high for my old computer.
I want to know what locomotives are with it? i just see 6 axle units like SD40 SD45 and GE.................
well that explains the choices. Are we going to see a new GP35 soon?
Nice route!! But one thing sofar during the Z Train act... why do we get clear signal indications on track monitor but they are really Red?
Hi Derek,
That is correct, RunactivityLAA.exe is 32 bit, but is able to address more memory, up to 4 GB, but only on 64-bit Windows operating systems. If you are running Open Rails 1.3.1, and you uncheck the Large Address Aware binaries option in the ORTS settings, memory can only be addressed up to 2 GB, but you'll never get there before having a memory-related crash. While it is possible to use the Large Address Aware binaries feature on a 32-bit version of windows, it requires manually editing operating system configuration files, which we can't condone. Users with 32-bit Windows versions may also be able to use one of the unstable versions of ORTS, which uses Monogame engine and significantly less memory. However, we can't confirm that this actually works. Even if it did, we also can't condone the use of an unstable version of ORTS,....because it's unstable, and that could cause all kinds of problems.
Cheers,
Jason
On the MRL side, SD40-2XRs, GP9s, and SD70ACes are included. I always enjoyed an expansion pack or two on the other routes so hopefully SD45s and GP35s will make an appearance in the future. There is a lot of potential for backdating the route with BN and NP as well so maybe some of that too.
Nonetheless the route is nicely done - thanks to the TrainSimulations team for their hard work!

Just started to run an activity, leaving the Helena station. Great looking route so far. But has anyone else noted a lack of grade-crossing signs?
QC problem here when two trains meet and the player train is too long on the siding to let the other pass. To the editor I go.
Yeah, I thought of that, but assumed there would be a sign anyway ("W" with a line through it, or something).
Yes, Helena is a quiet zone. There are no signs shown in the MRL timetables for a "do not sound horn" whistlepost, so I do not believe they have them from what I have seen... The quiet zone was enacted just a few years ago, so it does not show up in earlier timetables.
That siding with no-fitter happening is Avon. I will look into why that is happening today, that did not happen during our testing. Donald, could you send me an IM with your OR log file attached? Just want to confirm what all of your game settings are.
MM37 Siding
I also noticed that the unit number doesn't match up on unit #5228. Rear of unit is numbered 4160
As far as the "quiet zone" is concerned - if the timetable lists certain crossings as such then there may not be whistle posts to indicate a "quiet zone". A good majority of Madison's crossings on the WSOR are "quiet zones" but very few have whistle posts at all due to their listing in the timetable.
This is found in BNSF timetables, and may shed light on the whistle post question:
Presumably, then, quiet crossing = no whistle postQuote:
GCOR Rule 5.8.2—Within the State of Montana, the locomotive whistle is to be sounded at all public crossings marked with whistle posts, and otherwise in compliance with GCOR rule 5.8.2.
Locomotive whistles should be sounded at only those private crossings marked with whistle posts and in the other circumstances described in GCOR Rule 5.8.2.
Thanks for the clarification, guys.
Just for the record...in case someone has a fix or knows what these OR log warnings may be...activity running okay (Double Empty Grainer)
A Welcome entry into the TS collection of routes, been following the progress of the route at Elvas for sometime, nice to see it come together like this.
..and a whole bunch of these:Quote:

...and one missing texture
Mind you I'm not being critical or complaining...but we all have to learn that with the OR log documenting everything...it is quite easy whenever someone creates something for OR to run it in the sim and look for log warnings or errors...and then address them. Just part of the learning curve. (apologies, re-reading this...sounds a bit pompous...but I still think it is good practice )Quote:

Gerry,
In Warning: w-012581+014688.w scenery object 2302 with StaticFlags 00030DA4 references non-existent F:\1ORTS_TS\1ORTS_TS_Content\Global\Shapes\DirtRoa d2L05deg.s
There is a typo somewhere. There is no space between a and d.
The correct name of the shape is DirtRoad2L05deg.s not DirtRoa d2L05deg.s
Thanks Charles, yes I noticed the "a gap d", it is some sort of forum posting artifact --- no gap in the OR log. I did, however, perform a search for that specific shape and found it in the Seligman route ... so I'm going to copy it over, after I open it up and see what image files are required.
All the dirt road shape files missing appear to be quite common, SLI used them in routes before (Seligman, for instance ) - so I suppose I'll find all of them...that will take care of that set of warnings. Do it yourself Route Riter work.
Mullan helper Service Activity .
Hi I just tried the Mullan Helper Service Activity , and right at the start there is a 2 light signal floating in the air ? it is between milage 3 and 4 , how might I fix this and bring the signal down to earth lol ,
Thanks in advance for any help.
Tim
Hi Tim,
We found a few shapes that were lacking proper distance levels. I've attached a URL to a zip file that addresses this. You will need to extract these files to replace the ones in your MULLAN/SHAPES folder.

Jason,
Thanks for your help.
Tim
Thank you for the patch, and thank you to the TS Team for the route, appreciate your time and effort.

I purchased the MRL route yesterday, got my keycode and download link but when I click the link I get the following: dl.element5.com sent an invalid response.
I sent the download folks an email about this but haven't received a response yet. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks,
Bob

Not sure if this has already been noticed, but there's also a problem with the Boeing Train West Pt 1 just past the horseshoe curve at Austin (mp 14). The slow grain train that I've followed out of Helena is stopped on the main.
Must have missed the screen-prompt. I'll restart the activity.
