Looks like CN isn't wasting any time, either
Wait until you try to run a commuter train out of Shinjuku...
The advice to slow before the sign is probably related to passenger comfort, or good train handling if you're running proper (freight)...
The most likely reason you can't restart after a speed penalty is that the power is cut. When that happens, press Z to reset it.
The beeping and alerter message is caused by something entirely...
If you still have Gmax, I can upgrade my Type Es to my current standard and send you the gmax file for them
Does OR generate a log file? It will be on your desktop if it does. If so, attach it to a post so we can see what OR is doing in detail.
One thing that immediately catches my eye is the install...
I never knew him that well, but he always seemed like a stand-up guy. Rest in piece...
So it turns out I did start a B&O CPL system with OR features, but stopped work partway through. It could probably be refurbished to my modern method fairly quickly. The B&O system you have now is an...
B&O CPLs...the system I just can't escape. Sigh...
I don't think I ever upgraded that system to OR standards, mostly because I hated building it the first time (the marker lights are so difficult...
0° nodes are switches, and that's how OR will see them. They're an unusual set of paired switches, but they are switches, nonetheless, whether they're used as 0° nodes or as yard switches or as mock...
A couple things here:
The old 0° node switches are not placed 'toe-to-toe', in that the red-pole ends do not face eachother (red poles facing eachother is not allowed). The 0° switch, which I used...
You would have to remove them the same way you would any other track piece: remove all interactives as far as the next switch node or end-of-track in either direction, and then remove the 0° node,...
You know, I've been thinking of doing a CNW-specific signal set, since they used so many oddball types: those wonky Model 2As, Type Es, and the SAs with the oblong backgrounds
The long ends are the result of using a different type of truck. Side-by-side, a sraight 40 and a -2 will actually look pretty different.
I wonder if he's planning a straight 38?
Interesting...I started work on replacements for the two default routes from Japan. Odakyu has track from just outside Shinjuku to about Yurigaoka as it is today (Shimo-Kitazawa - Kitami is mostly...
Even if it's not totally accurate, it is still good to see someone building Japanese content. I started a replacement KiHa a few years back, but then lost it in a hard drive crash. I do have a couple...
I use _Skip ( ) in my sigcfg files regularly without trouble. I suspect it comes from having the underscore as shown in this thread, like so: Skip _( ). Mostly I use these comment lines to keep...
Maybe a DB500?

I've managed to find just one image online, and while it looked quite similar, it wasn't quite the same

I can read 'yunion' on the cab (the katakana) which is probably just meant to be the English word 'union'. The kanji are just too crusty to read, but the first one might be the word for road (dou)....
Ooooo....thunder-snow! That's when it gets real
What, can't handle a little snow?
Cool shot, by the way. Looks like more than snow coming out of that thing
Try selecting the area where the 2 in 342 is in the image
Those AC units look awesome!
I don't use ScaleRail in most of my projects, but there should be a set of bridge tracks with normal ties and ballast. In that set is a 5m piece with guard rail ends.
Regards,
Eric..?
That's supposed to be the style of ties, _c being concrete ties. Most of the sets I've seen, though, just have that odd texture on what looks like wooden ties
