it happens as soon as I press <Check Selected Activity> but only if I have not
put a tick in the Open Rails box. And then it shows Nothing to report.

I am speaking here only from personal experience.

My whole MSTS install runs in OR

If you were running OR
and an error message came up
you would have been given the
option of posting the error to OR.

I agree with you, OR is not for you, have you heard the one about the person who called up HELP when his PC was not plugged in?

I get the feeling that if as much time was spent on testing...

I have a very large install (136 ROUTES) which MSTS will not even open (on my rig) but OR runs very well.
So far I have tested every activity in 26 routes with no OR errors.
