Man, those look great
By the time I was a kid, the route that went from the Framingham yard, near the station and alongside the pond was dwindling and no longer went all the way to Marlboro, where I grew up. I eventually...
I freaking love this. I've been working on my own version for Trainz.
Hence... my model of the AT&T Building a few blocks to the west of the Framingham station and a few blocks from where I used to...
Yeah, that's a reason why Imt trying to make a 60's Era Chevy Van that won't make the model a beast when it's done since it will hold 10 of them.
well, as an alpha test... it's still crude... coupler height needs some tweaking... and the upper deck cables are still missing. I was working on some 68 Chevy Vans for it, I might finish them.
Cool stuff.
So... it looks like it's ready for people to look at in ORTS. Alpha-release. semi-functional... no loads yet.
At least the couplers seem joined correctly.

Isn't that just an NSC Type 5 with a different cover than the standard rounded one?
This is a transverse-mounted-coil car with 10 individual troughs for loading various sizes of steel coils. These...
Oh Man, I love that video, and I apologize for taking over the thread with progress shots. I took it as a challenge to make a late 1960s autorack when I saw the image in wish list items.
I'm not too proud of the vans, actually... I made them while watching the Simpsons. Probably need to try harder. Right now I'm fussing with car length to get the couplers to line up IN ORTS.
Ok, with VANS then.

A few more tweaks and it might be ready for actual testing.
So can Paint.net.

well, those I *didn't* model... it was just a placement test.
Though I am considering making a lower poly version of them as a load since it seems apropos.

I think you are getting what Scott and I have been saying. Once you practice with it for a bit... it gets relatively easy and especially quick when you want to try out new ideas. Blender also allows...
Well, you got me wondering what it would look like...

Thanks. Better than pictures. Though I've settled on a PENNSY/NYC style car for this one, I guess.

I just wish I had better resources for 1960's Autoracks. My conclusion is there are as many variations as gray hairs on my head. I picked a Bi-level as they are less common. I have zero...
Yeah, Blender. It's the way stuff gets done in 2023. :)

Blender is unable to read TSM files. If you know someone with 3D CANVAS/CRAFTER, they can use that tool to convert a TSM model to a format Blender cam import... like OBJ, or Collada DAE format. ...
