Know what's ironic? The very original release of Scenic (for MSTS) used the default TSection, and accordingly did not have zero-degree nodes. The next version, with Mosaic, introduced zero-degree...
They're not always created that way. Some routes have the two nodes separated by short straight track pieces, an actual theoretically functioning but useless passing siding (crossing loop) perhaps...
In the real-life world, train and engine crews are notorious for blaming the dispatcher!
My experience has been that OR is aware of the position of each train on a node-by-node basis. The presence of zero-degree loops foreshortens the distance between useable nodes and can confuse the...
In addition (and slightly off-topic), many MSTS era route builders would place signals at every single turnout "so they could have AI traffic". The results often resembled a 'signal farm' (where...

I would highly recommend alfold-palya-7
Get that, and the five equipment packs listed under Acthu
You'll lose yourself for days-weeks-months,...
As information for anyone who may be hesitant to download this route on account of it being officially "incomplete", in this case 'incomplete' means 'with scenery way more than complete enough'.
If I recall correctly, a route set in Argentina called Ferrocaril General Roca, found at Trensim.com, came with some very interesting track sounds.
Curious, why not use the PRR-ER?
It works just fine. Put the textures into a folder called textures, and put the shape in a folder called shapes.
OR
Put the textures and shape together into the same folder. Then the shape...
A texture called BLACK.ace causes the shape not to load in the shape viewer.
Also, take a close look at the building, and there is a hole in the building looking toward the clock from the right...
Vince - There's a few of them on the Lehigh Valley, including on main lines.
For everyone who ever wanted a Mohawk!
In MSTS, especially before XTracks was fully developed, some route builders created junctions with track pieces crossing each other at odd angles. Depending on how carefully the track pieces were...
One of my best friends ever was a brakeman for the Santa Fe during the time period of that film.
"Two for Four" means two cars for track 4.
Did you install your legacy MSTS stuff according to the tutorial at Steam4me?
Go ahead and install the starter route and see what happens. I have Windows 10, and it started no problem.
Install the Trainsimulations starter route (exactly per the instructions!), study that file structure, and go from there. All subsequent TS product installations will build upon that.
Copy it and change the file name of the copy.
Fair enough:
- How about the 'forgotten builders' such as Fairbanks Morse, and especially the Trainmaster?
- Also, need some high detail Stock cars.
That's why we love that era - Colorful and gritty at the same time!
The download for the Surfliner also includes Metrolink and the Coaster, all in one exe. A huge bargain for ten bucks!

No, not a waste. They'll give you an installation of Open Rails for absolutely nothing free. Such a deal!
