Nice looking engine.
Do you know anything about its history?
Bonjour Thierry,
Did you try the TAB key to get permission to pass the signal?
Are you running MSTS or Open Rails? In Open Rails you could use manual mode (control + M) to pass the signal.
I have been working on some updates to the route. One thing that bothered me is when I first did the track back in 2009 I took the lazy way out with island platform stations and had only one track...
That's about what I have except my processor is a Core i3 9100F and I have 16 MB memory. I have no problems running anything in Open Rails and get good frame rates even in challenging areas such as...
Looking good Cade!
I tried the football special today, I ran it in autopilot mode and it went through Park St. OK but I ran into that problem when I got to Harvard. It stopped at a signal due to the train ahead pulling...
Thanks Don6218 for your kind words. I will take a look at the issue with the football stadium activity. Other activities seem to be stopping at Park Street OK so I'm not sure why this one would act...
Download Ged Saunders' Activity Manager from this site (msts_actman.zip) and run the activities through it, it will show any errors such as missing stock, etc.
The Open Rails log should also flag...
Name of Route: Boston MTA/MBTA Cambridge Dorchester Line (Red Line)
Version and Release Date: Beta 0.1 9 April 2022
Description: Boston MTA/MBTA Cambridge Dorchester Line (Red Line) by Jonathan...
Make sure you download the 2019 version "prr-east-v2-install.zip" and not the older Beta version from 2009.
Easiest way to find it is to search for "vince" as noted above.
I meant a date where all the numbers are the same (with 2 digit year). Can only happen with 1 and 2 as there is no 33rd or 44th of the month etc.
I guess the next time this happens is Jan 11, 2111 (1/11/11) which you might see if you were a newborn on 2/22/22.
You could run RouteRiter, under the activities/stock tab select "check acts for selected route". After the list of errors if any it will give you a list of all consists used by activities in the...
If there was a London Underground Metropolitan Line route you could even run steam in the subway!:)
Another tool for checking for missing stock in consists is Ged's ActMan program which can be downloaded from this site. It is a little easier to use than RouteRiter.
With ORTS, each "profile" directory pointed to in the options - contents tab has its own global, routes, sound, and trains folders. This is especially useful when you have multiple sets of rolling...
Interesting. I wonder what percentage of cargo moves as 53' vs 40 or 48'.
My understanding that domestic (I assume North American) containers are generally 53 foot and anything going overseas has...
If you decide to build your own machine, you might find this site useful: https://pcpartpicker.com/
I guess I don't understand the premise - "the end of TSRE is near"? There will always be route and activity development for ORTS. Are people going to go back to the MSTS tools? I don't think so. TSRE...
Any routes from Trainsimulations, including the free Scenic Sub route, do not require any MSTS objects.

Interesting. I thought route tsection was only used for dynamic track. Not sure why that would affect car spawners.
I have seen this working on my Downeaster route and I found that if I zoomed out and went over the area the scenery would suddenly pop back into view.
Thanks Travis. I will take a look at the shape file animation data.
Thanks for the suggestion about the replacement. Given that this route is semi-fictional and has many anachronisms regarding...
Sometimes those models from 2001 or whatever are the only things out there. Not everyone has the skill or inclination to build new models. I appreciate the efforts of the dwindling number of those...
My exposure to Welsh was a trip on the Cambrian Coast line to Portmadog to visit the Ffestiniog Railway, staying overnight at a B&B there and being woken up in the morning by a loud conversation in...
