You should also play around with creating objects from scratch using hand-placed vertices and the create polygon function. I use this method heavily in my models and it creates cleaner and more...
I don't have any experience with programs like AutoCAD and Pro/ENGINEER, but I imagine that it for a person with prior modeling experience, it would not be very hard to transition to gmax. I used 3ds...
Here are some shots from a while back that I took of AC-4 #4104 and Tim Muir's great rolling stock on the ADFRR.

Unfortunately, animation of the reverser gear is not possible in msts because there is no code linking animation with reverser settings.
There is an SP engine pack by blackhawk2000 in the file library. It has an AC-4, AC-3 and AC-12, as well as a 4-10-2. School and work are taking up a major chunk of my time, so MSTS projects have...
Here are some shots of an AC-4 I've been working on for an undertermined amount of time. The aluminum paint under the cab needs a slight blue tint; the same correction will also apply to the rods....
Nice Shots! What route is that?
Do these trains run on the same line that the Milton GO runs on?
That is some excellent work Paul! And the weathering is amazing!
I'm planning to build a GP15-1 in an EMD I have in the works. I haven't touched it in a while though, I've got some cab-forwards that are monopolizing my efforts right now. Perhaps in a month or so...
I've got a copy of gmax, I'll see if I can figure out how to fix your problem, as I have it as well.
I just got the new bin patch, but the manuals still appear to be for the previous verison. Was the 4 view crash fixed?
Erik, would you happen to have a good set of roots blown 645 sounds in the works?
There will be new cab-views, but I haven't started on them yet.
Yep, it's one of the engines that I'm working on for the upcoming Cal-P route. It'll be weathered later when the rest of the series is done, in case I find any details that need to be corrected.
SP #4128 makes a ton of smoke and steam leaving the station on a crisp autumn morning.

It's just too bad that the train is pulled by a fugly GE. It would look much better with a set of F units on point.
Actually, thick black smoke indicates incomplete combustion of the fuel, which would get you fired if you let it happen to often.
You should try to use at least 16 frames for units with connecting rods. If you only use 8 frames in an animation, you get this really ugly unsmooth animation. But you also have to increase the fps...
Nice shots! Where did you get those cylindrical hoppers in shot 3?

People who create spyware should be sentenced to the death penalty. And not by lethal injection. Something more painful and slow would be nice.
Waiting at the station for a crew change. They're late by over an hour!
