Vince was right: mapping the keyboard for MSTS!

Can you delete an item using the Route Editor?
Jerry.
Vern,
I have been running and enjoying MSTS for 20 years now. First on Win2000, then WinXP , and finally Win7x86. I have no reason to move on to Win10 or anything that follows. As I mentioned, I...
I now have MSTS in a different partition, to wit "G:\Train Simulator" on my laptop. I still can't delete an item in the RE.
I have run MSTS in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator" just...
Continuing...
I tried reinstalling MSTS both into the Program Files(86) and another partition folder. I still cannot delete an item in the Route Editor. I am seriously thinking of reinstalling...
I am running as a user/administrator according to the control panel. I am the only user on my laptop. Yet I am unable to remove the check mark. This check is also present on my desktop where I am...
And that's not all...
1. Using the RE which displays the Hitsatsu Line just outside the Yatsushiro Station first, I added a bush. I was unable to delete it. I exited the RE with saving, and entered...
I have no way of controlling the "read only" since this is not an installation parameter. The security tab in the properties shows read only, but so does this tab in my desktop installation with...
The keyboard pretty much maps out like any other laptop keyboard. The physical position of the delete key is different than a desktop keyboard. The delete key does work since I was able to delete...
I installed MSTS on my laptop running Win7x64, avoiding the Program Files folders in the C: drive and using G:\Train Simulator as a folder. I added both updates.
I am unable to delete any item when...
At first I thought this was a sound problem because of the constant bell ringing, but now it appears to be an MSTS problem and belongs in the main section. Can the moderator move the thread?
As a test I setup a simple route with over a 1000m long straight with a grade crossing having one gate and flasher. I placed a second short track next to it (unconnected) by the gate to hold the...
Using the JJHXing crossing gates and flashers I get the following problem --
On a double track crossing an arriving train triggers the bell for 7 seconds ( about the gate lowering time), the...
There is some effect. Setting SNCA to (5), for both signal types, results in the !Esignal clearing as the fifth signal is passed. Same if SNCA is (4)-- it clears as the fourth signal is passed. But...
I'm using 2 basic NYCTA Sundermeyer 3-light automatic absolute signals: one with a !enabled in it's script, and the other without. I set up a mini route with about 2000m of track and a short AI...
Even if the four signals do not have !enabled in their script (always present green until tripped, except for the one in front of the !enabled signal; he shows yellow)?
What is it that clears a signal head that has the !enabled argument in its script? Is it approach distance ( such as a crossing gate) or a previous signal being passed?
Jerry.
Chuck R.,
It worked. Thank you.
Jerry.
Further, I emptied the SDA1.ref file of all but the first 7 items. Still no appearance in the RE placement window.
Jerry.
No. I will check for missing parens, tho.
Jerry.
I can't get the .ref file entries to appear after pressing "more" in the placement window of the route editor. Only track sections and other classes from global appear.
Any ideas...?
Jerry.
dnewmanjr,
I found the JJHX..... signals and flashers from CSX W&A. They work fine. The flashers start and stop as they are supposed to when installed as LevelCr at the track/road. I have to adjust...

dnewmanjr,
Thank you for your response. I set the world file parameters as you mentioned, and made sure of the -0.033 setting in the (LevelCr)flasher box (immediately pressing enter). The results...
CRSTAGG you are right! The lights should flash before the gates lower. I forgot this.
The original MSTS lights had no flash capability, so I installed the Bridges/Scruggs/LeGresley gates and the...
