I recently started using Ged's Activity Manager and find it a very useful tool.
One little enhancement I was thinking would be useful for those using Open Rails exclusively - a way to turn off the...
To create a location event, select "open Event Editor" then select the "location" tab. Select "new location event". Navigate to the location where you want the event to happen, click "pick new...
I also found that in order to get everything to run without errors I needed to add trainsets ACELA, DASH9, and GP38 as well as common.snd from the default MSTS trainsets.

OK basically you first need to create new services. A service = consist + path. Your new services for the traffic would use the same path as the old traffic but with the new consists you want to use....
Yes that was my main problem, having to rename all the .act, .srv, etc. files. I ended up writing a little command line script to do it. I think I might have also needed to copy textures and shapes...
I found some on UKtrainsim that weren't too bad. UKTS_14304_CommunityFemalePeople and UKTS_14323_Community_Men.

Brexit notwithstanding, I guess we can still call the UK part of Europe :) My personal favorite is Mid East Plus (once I realized it was set in the UK and not Saudi Arabia :) ) although I found it...
Scott I used cygwin a lot back when I was working as a software developer, as we were developing on Windows for a Linux target system. Very useful as like you say it filled in a lot of gaps that...
Just downloaded it. Looks to be an interesting route.
I did have to make some tweaks to the consist files as some of the names didn't match the trainsets, in particular the Amtrak autorack names....
Interesting.
Looks like you used cygwin to run this Linux script under Windows.

What is a "viewDB"?
If you go to the directory where TSRE is installed you should find a file called log.txt. It may have a clue as to what is causing your problem.

Just curious as to what you did to fix it - remove the activity, or change something?
Jon
I would be interested in testing as I have the route and the Surfliner trainsets, but would need about $75 of additional payware to fill out the list above, which I am not in a position to purchase...

For this "Maineiac", looking forward to it. Back around 1982? I happened to be in Whitefield NH and witnessed along with a number of other railfans, the passage of the last RY-1, the through freight...
One can also avoid the need for TrainStore with MSTS by setting up miniroutes. How I handled it until I converted to ORTS.

Try this link: https://github.com/pwillard/TSRE5-Document/blob/master/book.pdf
The only thing that TSRE AE doesn't do is paths. For that you use the ORTS track viewer (from ORTS main menu, select tools).

Sounds interesting.
Although not this particular line, I got acquainted with the L&N back in 1971 as a newly minted USAF second lieutenant, assigned to electronics school in Biloxi MS and living...
It would probably be safer to rename the entry in the consist file to whatever engine you are using. Eng files have the name embedded in them plus links to sound, cabview, etc. which all might have...
Once I resolved the standoff at Green River things were OK for another half hour or so then I ran into a problem where there is a train ahead on the single track heading toward the player train....
A buffer is just another kind of track section. Any track changes will break a path that uses it which in turn will break the activity.
In some cases you might be able to repair the paths in ORTS...
Interesting. I resumed the activity and changed the signal to green via the dispatcher window. The AI train started up and moved past the signal then suddenly disappeared. I suspect there is a path...
