Just a few more teasers..
A northbound freight charges up the slight grade as it crosses State Road-17A (now known as Memorial Dr) in south Avon Park, FL with 3 SD40-2's for power....
Reminds me of the phrase "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate" saving the plane must be number 4.. :p
I’m going to get to a more complete state before I prepare to upload it.. I do have a few other projects that I’ll keep that category in mind for hint-hint-hint... ;)
The plan is to eventually run it all the way to Miami. It’s almost definitely getting released, it just may end up being in beta form. This is my home area so I’ll never be 100% satisfied with how it...
So I'm clearing out some old route projects that have been on the back burner and in various states of completion for years.. This is one I've been working on for probably the better part of a...
Thanks Eric! Do you know if Marc ever happened to release ScaleRail v3?
Where can I get the Scale Rail track profile?
The one in Chicago is custom made by Bob Wirth for his ATSF Chillicothe route and was included when he agreed to allow me to utilize the ATSF line from Chicago to Joliet for this route.
Standard as the modern profile has concrete ties. This route is set prior to concrete ties being widely adopted in the US. Actually not sure they were even a thing here at all at that time period
Eric,
This is great to see.. I'll be moving back to the Chicago area from Florida (yes I know, I'm insane) Palatine, as a matter of fact. If you need any help let me know.
Geez I really do need to take the time to sit down and learn WFH

As many of you know, myself and Brandon Smith (and a few others) are currently working on most of the Midwest between Chicago and the twin cities, well I’m also work west from Toledo on the NS...
I'm actually kind of partial to the bankrupt blue "The Rock" scheme.. Then again, I greatly prefer blue to red & yellow anyway.. Which weird since Chessie is my favorite road.

A westbound NS Manifest slowly pulls onto the main as it leaves the yard in Elkhart, Indiana
Just a little teaser of something in the works for this route:
A (very) late running Capitol Limited screams by on its way to Chicago as a venerable SD40-2 yanks a cut of loaded coal hoppers out...
I know of at least one sleeper car, the "Silver Rapids" on the California Zephyr that was owned by the PRR and had the small reporting mark plates that said PRR by the vestibule. It was a 10-6...
You left that sentence as a fragment. It should have ended "because I knowingly obtained a route that has been stated over and over as not even remotely finished in a less than moral/legal way...
Right now there isn't enough sections that are "complete" to warrant a testing session. There are a handful of single tile sections that MIGHT be able to pass for complete, but due to the sheer size...
I could definitely use some photos and unfortunately no work on it as of late as I’ve been working a second job with Delta Air Lines and they are running me into the ground as we wind down the spring...
When I want it Neil?!?!? I NEED it now!! Email me :)

Right now I’ve sent the model over to Brandon Smith to take a look at.. I believe I screwed up the hierarchy so now the bogies won’t swivel on curves.. also a few texturing issues that need to be...

I've got it animated and into the sim on a testing basis.. Its slightly too high and too wide but other than that, I'm fairly...
Just a little update, and before anybody says anything, yes the ends have been ripped off. I wasn't completely happy with the way they were mapping out texture wise, so I figured I'd rip them off and...
That would definitely help as the diner is next and I'm going to rework this model as the base for all other viewliners. That process is a double edged sword. It's going to cut down modeling time,...
