I am currently working on some activities for the New South Wales Government Railways Illawarra Route which is available from the Steam4me site. This will include the following:

Sounds interesting. I was a big fan of Railroad Tycoon and Train Dispatcher back in the day.

The consist file "PRR_GP30-SD9+BuddSet.con" has a value
MaxVelocity ( 26.82240 1.00000 )
26.82240 is the max velocity in meters per second which corresponds to 60 mph. You could try adjusting...
A dispatcher window would be cool, if it worked like the old Softrail Train Dispatcher program. You would really need features like signal fleeting, stacking switch commands, running time, etc. Not...
What geepster said. I suggest downloading the stable version to start with which you can get here:
http://openrails.org/download/program/
or here (along with the BNSF Scenic Sub a great route...
The Empire Builder activity was designed for version 2 of the Scenic Sub.
The 1st page of the PDF document should look like this:

Thanks Mike I'll have to give that a try.
I wasn't that thrilled with the original P42 sounds that sound like a nest of angry bees when you throttle up. :)

Yes this activity was developed for version 2.0 of the Scenic Sub, the version currently available from TrainSimulations. I suspect that John has an older version based on the invalid path errors in...
It appears there are a couple of issues with the activity as released.
Apparently I mistakenly included some cars included with the TrainSimulations Green River route. If you have that route then...
I have uploaded an activity for the Trainsimulations BNSF Scenic Sub starter route. This is the Eastbound Amtrak Empire Builder from Everett to Wenatchee. It requires some freeware downloads for the...
I am thinking of buying the Maple Leaf Tracks Greater Toronto Area route. It appears to be an older route. I was wondering if anyone has any experience running this under Open Rails, is it worthwhile...
Note that Open Rails does not use train.exe. Its executable is openrails.exe and is usually located in a different directory than where the route is located on your machine, as OR does not require...
I recently started using Ged's Activity Manager and find it a very useful tool.
One little enhancement I was thinking would be useful for those using Open Rails exclusively - a way to turn off the...
To create a location event, select "open Event Editor" then select the "location" tab. Select "new location event". Navigate to the location where you want the event to happen, click "pick new...
I also found that in order to get everything to run without errors I needed to add trainsets ACELA, DASH9, and GP38 as well as common.snd from the default MSTS trainsets.

OK basically you first need to create new services. A service = consist + path. Your new services for the traffic would use the same path as the old traffic but with the new consists you want to use....
Yes that was my main problem, having to rename all the .act, .srv, etc. files. I ended up writing a little command line script to do it. I think I might have also needed to copy textures and shapes...
I found some on UKtrainsim that weren't too bad. UKTS_14304_CommunityFemalePeople and UKTS_14323_Community_Men.

Brexit notwithstanding, I guess we can still call the UK part of Europe :) My personal favorite is Mid East Plus (once I realized it was set in the UK and not Saudi Arabia :) ) although I found it...
Scott I used cygwin a lot back when I was working as a software developer, as we were developing on Windows for a Linux target system. Very useful as like you say it filled in a lot of gaps that...
Just downloaded it. Looks to be an interesting route.
I did have to make some tweaks to the consist files as some of the names didn't match the trainsets, in particular the Amtrak autorack names....
Interesting.
Looks like you used cygwin to run this Linux script under Windows.

What is a "viewDB"?
If you go to the directory where TSRE is installed you should find a file called log.txt. It may have a clue as to what is causing your problem.
