From that picture I would use the 45 degree and a slight curve to get the exiting track from the triangle correct.

Without having rad the EULA recently I don't think you are allowed doing it the way you are describing as a complete install including all MSTS-files just checking the registry if there is a previous...

If the spacing is wrong you have not used the correct sections.
Since you do not say which sections you have used where it's impossible to say where you did go wrong.

My FAQ quoted before is still my view of the problem.
Only left hand switches that shipped with MSTS work because the MSTS code base knows...

Narrow gauge tracks are based on 6m straights cause they are 60% of normal gauge tracks.
