I'm not reinstalling on the main drive C:\ just trying to fix this , MSTS is on drive F as 1MSTS. I'll look in the registry for that code and we will see.

eolsen the path you say in my case drive F 1MSTS, as told in your reply? I'll look into this ASAP.

well, I found out the problem the hard drive did not register MSTS properly so needed to reinstall to the main drive and leave the game on the other drive as it has always been everything works great...

Java was in its folder but that is not the real problem, the route_riter program does not recognize drive F.So I will need to reinstall MSTS.

yes I just installed Java it went to programs,so I'll take it out and reinstall it manually

MSTS is in drive F:\
route_riter has always worked so far that is.

new computer old hard drive MSTS only on a drive by itself ok now to the dirt, all of the files in the routes are blank need apps to read them. do you use notepad or WordPad?

I took lightmat_pal out,thought it was just junk.That is what I get for thinking.

I would like to replace some trees so the reflict more like the west coast of the USA.The route's would be NCR_USA32 and FBLine3.Threes would be AU_Gum mostly these,others would be normal eucalyptus...

upon loading a route ( MLWIW01 ) this came up ( Failed to load material palette ) this one is new to me. This is using MSTS only.

Extract the "NAVS_Tanker_T112_1bay_BASE" and "NAVS_COMMON" folders directly to your Open Rails "TRAINSET" folder. This is very confusing. under the open rails folder, there is no trainset folder,...

what about NAVS stock? I also was way wrong about Open Rails folders. so forgive that infraction. I'll read the manual better next time or something like that.

ok, I did not know whether to keep all rolling stock in the (trains /trainset folders) or in the TrainSimulations trains trainset folders.
