Sorry for bumping a nearly three month old thread, but I've had a similar situation with Consist Editor the past few days. Out of the blue it stopped opening, doing nothing more than the brief...
Got Coal? Austin Yoder's Pocahontas route has oodles of mine branches, plus a number of yards large and small. Still a favorite after all these years.

I've been running Ken Shannon's Ramore Sub for quite some time. You've mentioned elsewhere that you're working on about 40 or so miles of track. I'm curious what the end points of your new route...
Yes John, you can change weather one activity at a time (I assume you're working with an Open Rails route):
1. Open TSRE and load the route you want to work on;
2. Press F4 to bring up the...
So do I. If not, then access to ScaleRail and ScaleRoad installers may have just gone pfffffft.

For my money, Steve Davis' Activity Generator and Activity Master are close to, if not at the top of the list. I've used both for years; without them I probably would have abandoned MSTS long before...
Activity Master and Activity Generator both work perfectly on my Win10 lappy. I use them quite frequently.

The site isn't nearly as popular as it once was. A couple of template designers still post there occasionally (about once a month on average) and my password still works, so you could say the site...
Thanks Chris, Paul, Geoff, et al. I'm putting these to work immediately.

Excellent!

You're spot on Geoff. I had to learn the finer points of "stretch braking" when working as a short line engineer years ago. We ran a tourist train with a stop that had a pallet or two for a...
While hiding in my Covid 19 foxhole (while at the same time getting used to semi-retirement) I downloaded Jeff's Cima Sub route and set about doing some activity research, just for something to do. ...
So that was the culprit, eh? It showed up for me a few days ago too. Newly created activities could run in 4328 despite the error message but not in MG (either 32 or 64 bit). I returned to my old...

Trains on autopilot are governed by AI physics...they ignore gradients and maintain track speed. Manually operated trains are subject to prototype (or close to prototype) physics.
Gerry, I second everyone's kudos on your work. What an amazing task you've taken on, one all of us can benefit from.

I think I need a shower... :D
After switching to Open Rails about five years ago I've been revisiting older routes I put the shelf for one reason or another. One is Cascades Crossing. The terrtex and trees are admittedly dated....
I once read an article about a yardmaster at Dearborn, Michigan's Rougemere (CSX) yard. He had to tell a road crew to cut three widely separated cars out of a long inbound train from Canada for...
Thanks Gerry! I have a whole fleet of F's and Geeps that will be going in the shop tonight!

All I can say is, WOW! :D

I think the shape is called "buffer", John. It appears to be one of the original Kuju shapes.

Yes, the "IN" and "EX" are the ones. I don't have the Lehigh Valley route, but another deep search of what I do have might be in order. Thanks for the tip.

(Note: I checked for past threads about this. I found one from 2004. It was inconclusive. I thought the community would appreciate that I didn’t drag a 15 year old thread out of the vault. ...
