Vern one way is to copy player train into the TMU. When you have done that look at what you have and don't have. Yes mayne a different coloured tag for default box cars would work.

When in the TMU if you see Grayed out railcars then those will be default cars, try that Vern.

The thought of breaking the code or even leaning towards what you might be thinking and changing code would be considered against your EULA on purchase and not condoned here on TrainSim.
