    Default CPR Map

I'm trying to plan sort of a railfanning vacation in the not to distant future. Does anyone know where I can get an online map of the CPR system, specifically through BC and Alberta? I checked the CPR website, but their map isn't very detailed. Thanks in advance.

You won't find a detailed CP map on the website. Best bet would be something like this:

    http://www.deskmap.com/rr_mapping/atlas.html

Also there's a good little booklet out called the "Trackside Guide to CP Rail- Banff to Craigellachie by Jackie Morris that gives lots of good info and safe viewing locations. Its available
from the Revelstoke Railway Museum at:
    http://www.railwaymuseum.com/giftshopmain.html

If you want any specific info, give me a holler. That area is my backyard so to speak..

    cheers
