    Hi i was wanting to know if any other model railroad locomotive manufactures make Dash-8 40 BWs besides atlas, at a reasonable price?

    Mine's a Bachman Spectrum series...seems like I got it for about 40 bucks.

    I got mine at the local hobby shop...one powered and one dummy...but it's been a few years.

    As for a model GE dash 8-40B or BW, assuming that you are talking about HO scale, you might take a lok at the Walthers 'Train-Line' series. They have both the regular cab and the wide cab version, in a number of paint schemes. The catalog price is about $60, but they are readily available at Hobby Shops for somewhere between $40 and $50.
