    Default OP&E

Just finished watching the "Emperor of the North". I always thought it was a good show, anyway what was the Oregon Pacific and Eastern's parent company. I have been searching my files and books but annot seem to be able to locate it. I know I have the info, but I am thinking the info is in my storage unit.

    Erik:

According to the American Shortline Railway Guide, 4th Edition, by Edward A. Lewis, the OP&E was independently operated until purchased in 1970 by Kyle Railways and Bohemia, Inc., a shipper located on the line. In 1987, Bohemia acquired Kyle's interest.

According to the 5th Edition of the American Shortline Railway Guide, the railroad was abandoned in October, 1994.

    Gary,

Thanks for the info, I must have been thinking of another line with similar initials or possibly when Kyle bought it.

    Thankyou
