    Default PO&N power?

Anyone out there ever put together a locomotive list for the PO&N? I'm afraid I've fell in love with the route (pretty easy to do Jim!) and now I'm tryin to get all the loco's I can find. I'm a big steam fan, so especially any nice steam power out there. Think I've hit most of the diesels. Suggestions anyone?

    Thanks Jim!

Haha, maybe I'll put that roster together for you once I get back to school and get the ol' computer up and running. (Lost a hard drive last month, still recovering.) And if I'm feeling really adventurous, maybe I'll finally learn some skinning and do a nice PO&N Berk or something. Either way, thanks, and the PO&N rocks (even with the CatDog :) )

I keep misreading that as 'PORN.' :P

That's the whole point, sorting out the prigs from the perverts. Anyone who sees the ampersand as an "R" in that context obviously has a dirty mind! Somebody once suggested I should change the name, Port Ogden Regional Northern. :o

Sounds like you're volunteering, I'm looking forward to the roster list! :P

Hee-hee, actually there's very little steam, the PO&N is first and foremost a switching route (with ridiculous pretensions to something bigger considering all the mainline expansion), and steam is hard to switch with.

ponbb.zip - tender somebody skinned for the Big Boy.

pon1883.zip - John Fowlis' package, includes two Pioneer steam engines, passenger coaches, and olde tyme freightcars with a bobber caboose. See also snow1883.zip for a snowplow and cattle car for same.

pon1950f.zip - more modern steam switcher 0-8-0 (stolen from one of Garber's routes) plus PO&N cabooses (cabeese?) and Alco RS-2 deisels. The EXE will create a folder in \Train Simulator\Routes named \portogden6, so if you don't have PO&N version 6 you'll need to delete that \portogden6 folder from the \Train Simulator\Routes folder after installing to avoid errors. I was gonna update that activity pack for version 8, but have too many other irons in the fire. Anyone else wants to convert the activity pack and upload it feel free, PO&N 9 is probably gonna be a couple more months. If you want to run the 1950s steam/alco activities, PO&N 6 is still available at www.railserve.com .
