Photo was taken by Ken Stevens, a regular in the Tehachapi's. Derailment occured at 8:10am Wed., derailing the NS Dash 9, and 6 cars. UP expected the line to reopen by 3am this morning. Thanks again to Curt for passing along the info, as I don't have a TO membership and seldom visit that site.

    Hi Curt,

    Question - what is "stringlining"?

They were trying to tell me it was 18" ( Not that 18 is any better )

    15" is probably about right.

Wierd now that I really think about it, BUT my model railroad collection has not left their storage boxes since the release of MSTS.

Maybe it's time to make my own layout .... I've most definitly got the basement for it !!

    Or sell it all off.

True it's not their only C40 but it was the only engine to derail;-)

Probably not the NS going to be PO'ed as much as the UP is for derailing a train on their line.

    Oh Wait..

UP can't run a train anyway, so it won't matter.
