    Default A quick signature audit...

I received a PM from a dial-up user commenting on the signature banners of some users.

I did a quick check and discovered many signature images were in excess of the Forum Rules. I sent several PM's to various users however I don't have all night to check everybody.

Please try to police yourselves and comply with the Forum Rules of 450 pixels wide by 120 pixels high, and not to exceed 25k.

    Thanks,

    Andrew Pickell

    Hi Andrew,

I get around that problem by blocking ALL of the banners.
You are welcome to give my email to the user and I will assist.

    Cheers

S.P., Please help me understand your line of thought.

If a member violates the forum rules on signature banners and a moderator notifies the little snot, thats wrong?

Is not that what a moderator is supposed to do?

I fail to see a problem here. The world we live in has rules we must live by.

You may not like them but the alternative is anarchy.

    Andrew-

FWIW, I tried to do the same thing and several people called me a signature nazi over email for asking them to do so.. even a few left the forum because I asked them nicely (privately) to resize them.

I support a more stringent enforcement of the rule.

Are you simply blocking all images, or have you figured out some way to only block the banners Derek?

I don't really remember what happened with the Lawerence Kellie situation and I dont care to either. I'm even puzzled by the fact you try to disguise his name?

I received a complaint from another member of the forum. I didn't wake up and decide "Let's check signature sizes today."

Perhaps next time you want me to ignore the request?
