    Interesting...

Somewhere I saw a whole Metra car sitting in a field along with a tank car, no railroad close by.

I remembered when I visited my sister in Lebanon, Mo. last year and I seen a BN caboose and a full size Crossing buck with lights on a residental area or property. The Railroad tracks going thru the town is about 3 miles from the house. The guy used to work for BN and that's what the RR gave him for retirement present. I think my sister told me the guy passed away and they took everything of the property when the new owner bought it. I wished I had a picture of it.

they did this in a nearby small town where the folks who bought an old pullman car and made it into a pub. They moved the car on a semi and used cranes to lift it ito place. Most likey thats what they did here.

Default Nice RR display..How did they get it there???

My son and I attending the National Logging Convention at Lambeau Field this past weekend. One of displays was a fully loaded logging car sitting a a small section of tracks in a parking lot. About 1.5 miles from the nearest railroad track lines. That must have been alot of work to set up one rail car and load it
