Now he is ignoring the BBB? Is that surprising to anyone?? Anyway, just one more reason why it is important to keep this issue "front and center" for all who are new to this community to see.

I just sent this email to Nels.

    Nels,
I would like to point out that the ad for the Surfliner Route from Facing Point Media found on the main page may need your attention, considering all that has transpired over the past couple of months.
There are numerous threads concerning this matter, one of which is here.

    [Link Expired]

Your ad could direct more unsuspecting individuals to attempt to purchase this product resulting in their money being stolen by this company.

Your attention to this matter is humbly suggested.

    Respectfully,
    Ed (Hawk) Hawkins

I'll let ya'll know if and when I get a response.

    I just got Nels reply.

    "Hi Ed...

That's odd, I did not think we were running their ads any more. I'll
    check into it.

    --Nels Anderson"

It's not there now and I know I saw it yesterday before I made my first post in this thread.
I guess Nels deleted it today.

The problem for me is for example that I have no idea how to file a lawsuit in the USA. Besides for an individual, the amount in question is not worth it.

However the only thing I could imagine would work would be a common lawsuit by a significant number of customers!
    Cheers,
    Sebastian

Unfortunately, in this country, class action lawsuits (common lawsuit) generally only benefit one person-the attorney. All others involved usually only get a few pennies on the dollar while the attorney walks away with a pocket full of change.

I am no lawyer, but it does sound to me like wire fraud, which carries severe penelties. It would be interesting to see what the D.A. would have to say.

Thanks for pinning this thread. We all, who have been around awhile, know of the horrible business practices of FPM, but as has been pointed out above, the new player in MSTS would have no idea of who FPM and Andrew Held are.

I did like that Mr. Held had garnered an 'F' rating from his local BBB. There are some people who do check that prior to buying so that will stop some business.

I would suggest that people file a complaint with the Postal Inspectors. They have a convinient form online at
    http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors...dComplaint.htm

File it under "Merchandise or Service --Failure to provide"

The postal inspectors tend to have a reputation of not screwing around with fraud...
