Diesel, Electric or Steam Power/Locos? And tell us why. Aesthetics, nostalgia, memories, power?

I put down a vote for steam. I guess I like the mechanics and dynamics of steaming. Sure nostalgia is also part of it and currently I like running the Baldwin 4-6-0 Sumpter Valley Railway #50 on the San Diego and Arizona Route. A lot of fun out of these two items from our file library. I haven't bothered getting all the additional .zips for that route but made a few consists up and went driving with my head hanging out of the cab window :) I guess I like the diesel freight activites as a close second. I'm just young enough to have missed steam while growing up. I loved the older diesels, the GP9s and ALCo RS's and even the SD40's that were so common out in western Canada. I'm not a big GE fan but I even like watching them.

Still, we have people that becomes happy criticizing.

If I think to post ia a waste of time, I would never post.
If I am against polls,I would not read them.

Chances are that a person like Johansteam, who is a charter member, possibly a moderator,would go to a cinema to watch a Hitchcock, knowing previously that it was a SUSPENSE and then leaving complaining on that.
