I take it you are joking. I could nominate about 100 diesels from UKtrainsim that are far better. Scot

    Hi Scotsman -

    Actually, I was serious.

I haven't hung out in UKtrainsim for a while. I just didn't think the Brit quality was quite as good as the US on my last visit. If there are now better locomotives than the Class 66 then there must be some truly outstanding work available.

Can you give me a few nominations please? - not 100, maybe just a handful. I'd love to try the best!

    Cheers,
    Phil

EMD motor, Shes a Pommy SD70, technically speaking it is most similar to the 4,200hp SD-75.

    see them for real here:

Looks nice. Infact it's the only European loco model thats intrigued me enough to download it...

I'll have to get it sometime and give her a run.

Of course I know my intrest in the grey/yellow 66's came from seeing one in person at the London, ON, GMD plant. Unfortunately, my pics were shot through a fence in less than desireable lighting conditions. One of those situations when you say "At least I saw it, and at least I have a pic of it"

Edit: Having never been at UKtrainsim.com, I can't find the said model...can someone provide a link? Thanks :)

Having a 12-cylindre engine, with six-axle bogies and a cowl body I guess would make it an SD69F by US standards?
(Yes I know EMD uses different designations on export-only models. The Class 66 is JT42CWR)

The model is available here http://64.191.121.201/ or from the trainsim library. It is not the UK version which has oval buffers, but the European one ( oblong buffers ). They are now found in several European countries in various liveries.

There are too many to reply. The early stuff was somewhat crude on UKtrainsim, but the latest stuff is excellent. Just look for the latest files. Scot.
