    Default Train Sim Problems

I had to reinstall MSTS after a computer crash recently. I installed it OK, but when I try to close it from the main menu, it makes my computer freeze. Also, If I minimize the game, after reopening it, the game either closes itself or goes to a black screen. What in the world is going on?

BTW: Is anyone else getting an Expedia pop up ad when they come to the forums? Or is it just me?

Can't help with the MSTS problem, but I'm not getting the Expedia pop-up.
    Check your system for ad-ware.

I almost forgot, I have also installed the update from Microsoft for the game.

Was MSTS trashed after your computer crashed? Were you able to uninstall MSTS normally before you reinstalled it?

I suspect you have conflicting registry entries and did not get a clean install.

I would uninstall this non-working version, and then search for and delete any leftover registry entries from the prior version.

EDIT: But get rid of that adware/spyware you have first, and see if MSTS works all right.

I uninstalled MSTS and cleaned out the previous registry but now I got one hellofa problem now! After re installing it, my game will load a route just fine but when it finishes loading, the dreaded "MSTS will close now" pop up warning comes up. This goes for the route editor and the regular program. And I still have the minimizing and exiting problems. Can someone please help me with this!?

    Nick,

If you use Alt+Tab to minimize that will eliminate the crash.

Thank you for solving one problem. :)
All that is left is the exiting problem.
