bail off steam

I've checked the eng files for most of my steam locomotives and find no entries for bailing off. I went looking in the files after being unable to bail off using the "/ stroke. Since various railroading forums confirm that bailing off is prototyical in running stream, why is it absent in MSTS? And what is the best way to add bailing off in steam... Would I make the same line entries for bailing off as made in a typical diesel?

I also asked this question and the reply was that there is no way to bail with steam. It was not built into the sim.

Good thing they also left off the "tire overheats and comes off" simulation! ;)
