Default B40-8 and B40-8W by KLWTrainSim - NEWS!

The latest news on the KLW B40-8s:

    B40-8 "BNSF #8608" v2.0 now available at TrainSim.com!
    [Link Expired]

After extensive rebuilding, our original B40-8 has been totally upgraded for v2.0! The shape file has been refined from v1.1, mapping has been totally re-done for easy repaints, a custom horn by Frank Schwalbach, Jr to let them folks know you are approaching that grade crossing, a custom cab with a rear-facing view for switching, .eng file upgrades (runuptimetomaxforce line removed, dynamic brake and throttle are seperate now), wonderful BNSF textures based on Judd Spittler's default GP38 texture replacement and truck textures by Joe Hughes! Find it in the file libary as: KLWB40v2.zip!

BNSF #8608 B40-8 blank reskinning templates - now available at TrainSim.com!

To make it easy for reskinning, we have put together a rskinning package with undecorated .TGA files of our B40-8, based on Don Shriner's 'Undecorated' Dash 9 skin! Find it at the file libary under: B40paint.zip!

    B40-8W - NEW photo!

    [Link Expired]

You might be wondering why it's still at development stage....the reason is, the early photos we showed you a long time ago were based on the v1.0 model! We did not want to release junk, so we waited until we finished the 2.0 model before we resume work on the wide cab version! It will be released in BNSF Warbonnet when done! Look for it soon!

Hope you like the pictures :-)

    Hi,
    I really like your B40-8!
I escpicially like the Cabview. I like how you can look out the back window. It's very handy for switching and Backwards Movements. And the New B40-8W looks Great!
Thanks for creating These awesome locomotives!

Is anybody planning to take the air conditioner off the cab roof (of the standard-cab version) and paint it up for Conrail? The number series was 5060-5089; 5080 (there may have been others as well) was eventually repainted into the Conrail Quality scheme.

Actually....the AC is alphable too for your Conrail fans :-) Just need someone to reskin it....I might, if the demand is great enough!

    Take care!
