    Hello from France

This is my first post on your forum.

When i was young, i have seen the MRS-1 #1818 on running on the SNCF line Bordeaux Nantes.

This it a picture of it in the french station named CAVIGNAC. In the town where i am born.

And, below, it is the Model i have built myself in 0 scale.

I have also built a model of it in H0 scale, in Alaska RR livery.

    Regards....

Probably would have been best to start a new thread rather than reply to a 6 year old one..

Thank you for sharing your photos, Bernard. When the #1818 was in CAVIGNAC, was it pulling your native cars, or perhaps American cars? An entire fleet of Overseas equipment was built along with the MRS-1's, and could have possibly been displayed, also.

    Hello

The #1818 came in France alone, but it was tested with passengers & freight french cars.

Thanks for sharing your photos. At the Railroad Museum where I volunteer, we have two ALCo MRS-1's. One runs, one doesn't.

I'm halfway interested in the Overseas Fleet, they aren't high on my list, but I still like to hear of them occasionally.

How did you go about building your models? Are they standard gauge?

On another forum, I posted some photos from the ALCo multigauge trucks: Elvas Tower.
