I'm working on the route editor trying to create part of the Galena division, which I live next to. I'm on the west side of Chicago, about six miles due west of downtown, one mile east of Oak Park, half a block from where the lake street "EL" joins the C&NW. Problems. First, the railroad itself has been swallowed by corporate mergers, so there ain't no more green and yellow - mostly it's Union Pacific and Metra commuters. I'll look to see what I have in the way of old pics, but my scanner's crapped out right now anyhow. I'm having a hell of a time creating the scenery, cause even with comboref it's hard to get the right look on the buildings, and the concrete walls of the embankment are a [email protected]!ch. What the hell does "cutting" do, anyhow? I can't get an actual vertical embankment, and even the sloped ones look lumpy.

I love the grain car. You should upload the other cars also. I haven't seen much in the way of grain cars in the train-sim libraries so adding 15 more would really give a nice variety. Good job again.

    Thanx

I live in D&RGW territory. In fact there are two Rio Grande GP40's in the yard as I type this. If I had a digital camera I would send you some pictures. I would love to see some RG stuff painted for train sim. I will look in my bookmarks and give you web site names if you are still intersted in painting Rio Grande stuff.

Actually, something you might find of more use than http://www.drgw.net is my other project - [a href="http://www.railarc.org"]RailARC[/a], which contains more roster shots than you can skin up in several decades... :) I'd very much like to see some D&RGW power done, though, especially if someone could come up with an accurate SD40T-2...

Anyway, some nights it pays to read the referrer logs and see where the hits are coming from - otherwise I might not have actually seen this message board...
