Glossy finish ?

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to repaint one of my "Cowen Kits" to a gloss finish, but everything just end with a flat finish for me.

I am missing something when I use my Paint Shop 7 ?

You can try to incorporate the "sheen" of a gloss finish into the texture, but a more realistic result can be obtained by using the "shine" materials in your 3-D modeling program. The easiset way to do this is to get a copy of Shape File manager. It has some neat functions, including adding "shine" to your textured models.

Some really great ideas.
I did some digging since my first post, and found where Dick Cowen uses The Shape File Manager program to add a finish coat on his "Kits".
You un-compress the "S" file you are working with.
Then the right click option gives you the texture method.
From there you can choose normal, dark shade, half-bright, low shine and high shine.
To complete you need to compress back your “S” file.
It is really nice to see stainless coaches with a low shine.

A technique I use is to darken the bottom and lighten the top to give a sort of contrast between the light highlights and dark reflections of 'terrain,' if that makes sense.
