    Default Missing Shape File

    Hi All,

The German tram route "Tram City" per MSTS & Route Riter has a missing shape file - "l1t20mstrt.s" . This is a fatal omission for the route. Any suggestions of a source for this shape file ?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Are you sure the first character is a "l" lower case L ?

Have a look into your GLOBAL\SHAPES Folder. Any other track shapes starting with that lower case letter ? I there are some then the "Tram City" Install has short changed you and you need to get the missing file from the vendors.

If not, create a copy of the A1t20mstrt.s, rename it and see what happens.

Sounds like a non standardized track section, probably cloned from Chris Cyko's Chicago Elevated route track sections. Build 00020 of the standardized tsection.dat lists a L1t10mstrt.s, L1t50mstrt.s, and L1t100mstrt.s all from the cykworks track package, but no L1t20mstrt.s section. Might be the next build of the standardized tsection.dat, assuming the developer didn't just decide to go loose cannon and release his own.

    Hi all,
A correction of my last reply: The standarized tsection Dat.
does Not support TramTracks. However it is compatable with it.
    The TramTracks are available at:
    http://thetrain.serveftp.org/en/down...17&fileid=2476

    To All that responded,

The fix worked. Route is fully functional now.

    Thanks,

Gee, the last time I checked, Ralf Riemer's Tram Tracks, but they all start "Tram_".

    David,
Never meant to imply that the 2 files I supplied were from TramTacks.
Only that I discovered them in my GLOBAL folder. I have been an X-tracks user since the beginning. When you came up with the Standardized tsection Dat., came order from chaos. Okrasa had an excellent idea. It took 2 great minds to make a product that produced what we have today.
    How's that for platitudes.

    I remain obediently yours

    Hi all,
In the attached ZIP. are the 2 files that are needed. They came from my GLOBAL folder which not only has X-tracks 3.7 but TramTracks.
The read me on this route says you must have X-tracks 3.5 or higher & TramTracks. Both of the tram routes run beautifully.
PS: BTW The standardized tsection Dat. supports TramTracks.
