Description: A work-in-progress model of Great Northern’s Whitefish – Blackfoot (Marias Pass), Blackfoot – Havre, and Great Falls – Havre lines. Also included is a part of the Great Falls – Sweet Grass line, from Shelby to Sweet Grass. A future version 3 release will complete the route with the entire Great Falls – Sweet Grass line and all its numerous branches.

Installation Method: You need version 1 and the patch installed on your system. All files for version 1 and the patch are available on All you need to do is to extract the contents of to a temporary directory and then copy all files over to your [path to train-sim]\ROUTES directory. Click yes/all when
prompted to overwrite any files.

Single/Dual Track: several miles of dual track on Marias Pass and west of Shelby, otherwise single track

Level of Trackside Detail: very high in some places (esp. on Marias Pass)

Amount of scenery completed: nearly done on half of Marias Pass to barely none on the Havre – Great Falls line

FPS Specs, with qualifiers: 20-40 (1.7 GHz Intel Centrino, 512 MB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700). Lowend system users might experience unacceptable slowdowns in some places on the route due to heavy usage of forest regions and single objects.

Xtracks required: XTracks, v. 3.12 or later should work. NewRoads 3.2 also required.

Known Problems: Route is still under construction. Many scenery-bugs may appear. Signalling and interactives should work okay, though. Signal setup on single track portions of Marias Pass needs some rework.
